Community gatherings and cultural workshops offered through Laʻakea Healing create spaces where people can come together to learn, reflect, and reconnect with values that sustain both individuals and communities.
Rooted in Hawaiian cultural knowledge, embodied practice, and place-based awareness, these experiences invite participants to engage with culture as a living practice rather than simply learning about it.
Facilitated by ʻAuliʻi Aweau, cultural practitioner, Kumu Hula, and healing-centered leadership consultant, these gatherings weave together cultural teaching, reflection, movement, and dialogue to create meaningful and transformative learning experiences.
Workshops and gatherings can be hosted in Hawaiʻi, throughout the continental United States, and internationally, and are designed to meet the needs of communities, organizations, and institutions seeking deeper cultural engagement.
Each gathering is designed to cultivate connection — to culture, to place, and to one another.
Experiences may include:
Cultural teachings and ʻike (knowledge)
Hula as a pathway for understanding history, story, and embodiment
Place-based learning and connection to land
Healing-centered dialogue and reflection
Cultural values and leadership insights
Community-based learning and relationship building

Multi-day or retreat-style experiences that allow participants to engage more deeply with Hawaiian culture, place-based learning, and healing-centered practices.
These experiences are especially meaningful for leaders, educators, and individuals seeking renewal, reflection, and reconnection.

Community Gatherings
Events designed to bring people together in shared space for cultural practice, reflection, and dialogue. These gatherings strengthen community relationships and deepen collective understanding.

Indigenous Cultural Exchange
Laʻakea Healing also supports opportunities for cultural exchange and relationship-building with other Indigenous communities around the world.
These gatherings create space for Indigenous leaders, practitioners, and communities to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and learn from one another while honoring the distinct traditions of each culture.
Cultural exchange experiences are guided with deep respect for protocol, place, and community relationships.
All gatherings and workshops are developed with careful attention to cultural context, community responsibility, and respectful engagement.
Experiences may be hosted for:
Community groups and nonprofit organizations
Schools and educational institutions
